Description
Fitzrovia Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy that has looked after local patients for more than forty years. It began life as Chel Pharmacy and now trades under its current name in the Harley Street medical area of central London. The present owners took over in 2004, and the team pairs long experience in community healthcare with a flexible approach to prescriptions and clinical care. Staff tend to recognise the regulars, take time to listen, and work closely with consultants and GPs from the clinics and hospitals nearby. The pharmacy dispenses NHS and private prescriptions, including international ones where appropriate. Its patients include people who live locally, those who work in nearby practices, and others who travel to London specifically for specialist care.
Behind the counter, pharmacists and trained support staff handle more than straightforward dispensing. Services include the Pharmacy First scheme, repeat dispensing, the New Medicine Service, smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and monitoring for cholesterol and diabetes, alongside flu vaccination and other seasonal health services. Prescription delivery is available too, with free collection from selected clinicians, same day options across central London, and next day delivery elsewhere in the UK for eligible medicines. As a GPhC registered pharmacy following NHS complaints procedures, the team keeps detailed medication records and is happy to liaise with doctors about any concerns or interactions.
