Baker's Mews is a short through road in W1U, running off Robert Adam Street and connecting towards Fitzhardinge Street. It sits within the Portman Estate Conservation Area and was originally built to provide stable and coach house accommodation for the principal houses on Baker Street, Robert Adam Street and Fitzhardinge Street. The mews has been largely converted to residential use, though a small number of commercial properties remain. Buildings run to two and three storeys in painted and rendered brickwork, with a mix of roof styles and some surviving garages. A high explosive bomb fell on nearby George Street during the Second World War; Baker's Mews came through undamaged.
