Duchess Mews is a cobbled through road connecting Duchess Street to New Cavendish Street in W1G, on the Howard de Walden Estate. It contains six properties, predominantly residential, on a lane of roughly 65 metres. Three properties, including No. 19, are Grade II listed; No. 19 was built around 1775-76 to designs associated with James Adam as a mews building for No. 19 Portland Place. No. 22 now operates as the Cavendish Conference Centre. The mews gained a degree of cultural recognition as the location used for Steed's flat in the 1960s television series The Avengers.
