Gloucester Place Mews is a through road in Marylebone W1U, running between George Street to the south and Montagu Place to the north, parallel to and immediately east of Gloucester Place. It sits within the Portman Estate and forms part of Westminster City Council's Portman Estate Conservation Area. Like most mews on the estate, it was laid out in the late eighteenth century to provide stabling and service access for the grand terraces fronting Gloucester Place. The street now contains around fifty properties, all converted to residential use, and its original carriage-house character is still legible in the scale and layout of the buildings.
