Hinde Mews is a short cul-de-sac running off Marylebone Lane in W1U. It was laid out in the late eighteenth century by developer Samuel Adams on back land behind Hinde Street, serving as stabling and coach house accommodation for the main houses on that street. Both street and mews take their name from Jacob Hinde, son-in-law of the original ground landlord Thomas Thayer. The mews has been substantially redeveloped and no original stable buildings survive. It now contains three commercial properties. The site sits within the Harley Street Conservation Area, designated in 1968, which limits further alteration.
