Francis Holland School, Regent's Park
Francis Holland School, Regent's Park has taught girls in Marylebone since 1878. Canon Francis Holland founded it near Baker Street, and it moved to its present site by Regent's Park in 1915. It is an independent day school for girls aged 11 to 18, with selective entry, a strong pastoral side and clear communication with families at each stage. The teaching aims for academic stretch without losing room for art, sport and the wider co-curricular life. Tours are organised and staff explain the pathways plainly.
The school belongs to the Francis Holland Schools Trust, which sits behind its governance, and it is a member of the Girls' Schools Association. ISI inspection reports point to strong provision and a respectful community. Policies are published openly and outcomes are shared with parents in plain language. Means-tested bursaries at key entry points widen access and help keep the cohort mixed and motivated. Leavers go on to selective sixth forms and universities, with structured guidance along the way. The Regent's Park setting puts green space and central London culture within easy reach.
