Montagu Mews South is a cobbled cul-de-sac off George Street in W1H, opposite Montagu Mews West, within the Portman Estate Conservation Area. The mews contains around 23 properties across two sections, used primarily for residential purposes. Most of the buildings were rebuilt after a high-explosive bomb fell on the adjacent Great Cumberland Place during the Blitz in 1940 to 1941, which accounts for the relatively uniform mid-twentieth-century stock. It is a short walk from Marble Arch underground station and close to the northern end of Hyde Park, with Marylebone High Street accessible to the north.
