Ossington Buildings is a Victorian social-housing complex off Moxon Street, W1U, built between 1888 and 1892 on the site of two earlier courts (Conway and Grafton Courts) that had housed some of Marylebone's working-class poor in slum conditions. Originally called the Portland Industrial Dwellings, the estate was swiftly renamed in honour of Lady Ossington, co-owner of the Portland estate. The initials PIDC (Portland Industrial Dwellings Company) still appear in the stonework above the entrances. Since 1983 the estate has been wholly owned and managed by the Howard de Walden Estate and functions today as residential accommodation.
