Portman Close is a short street of around 140 metres running between Robert Adam Street and the Baker Street and Gloucester Place corridor, just north of Portman Square. It lies within the Portman Estate, which has owned this part of Marylebone since the sixteenth century. The street carries roughly 55 properties and is mixed in character: residential flats sit alongside serviced and conventional office space. One building, at numbers 22 to 25, was formerly the head office of the Courtaulds textile company before being converted for flexible office letting. Postcoded W1H.
