Quebec Mews is a short residential mews in W1H, running between Great Cumberland Place and the Seymour Street area, on the southern edge of the Portman Estate. Like most streets in this pocket of Marylebone, it was originally laid out as stable and coach-house accommodation serving the surrounding Georgian terraces. Today the properties are residential. The mews is notable for one landmark: the Western Marble Arch Synagogue, whose premises extend to 13 Quebec Mews, making it an unusual neighbour in an otherwise quiet back lane. The postcode area has a higher than average concentration of self-employed residents.
