Seymour Mews is a part-cobbled through road connecting Wigmore Street to Fitzhardinge Street, with two additional cul-de-sac arms branching off it. It sits within the Portman Estate in W1H and falls inside Westminster City Council's Portman Estate Conservation Area. The mews holds around 11 properties, a mix of commercial and residential use, in two and three storey plain brick buildings with mansard, pitched and parapet roof styles. Originally built as stable accommodation for the main streets behind which it runs, the name derives from Anne Seymour, mother of Henry Portman who developed much of this part of Marylebone in the eighteenth century.
